My dad was E7 in Navy. He served in both Korea & WWII. My father-in-law was also in the Navy & fought in WWII. My husband retired as an E6 from the Coast Guard. He served in Viet Nam. I am a Viet Nam Era Coast Guard Vet. My oldest brother, Guy was in the Navy & then joined the Coast Guard. He is also Viet Nam Era. He just retired from the CG with 30 years. Two of my other brothers, Allen & Lloyd served in the Navy. My nephew, PFC Jason Chappel, was killed in Iraq on 1/24/04. I also have 2 grandsons in they Army. They have been to Irag & Afghanistan. So I have an amazing family.

Just as a side - I met my husband jumping into Cape Cod Bay. I was the first woman to fly medivacs from USCG Air Sration Cape Cod.
