My son and, one of 3 daughters were in Iraq at the same time. When my son got his promotion, he went through the proper channels to be able to go to where his sister was based. He got the permission and they got to spend Thanksgiving together. Then my baby girl got to pin the new stripes on her big brothers uniform. When he told her that she has to salute him, she simply punched him in the arm. Proud of John and Rachel Schwartz serving. Rachel is now a civilian and John is still in. Both are from 82nd Airborne.
